Due to the extremely low numbers of Dobermans & Miniature Pinschers needing rescue (which is great for the breeds), we have made the decision to close our rescue organization. We still take responsibility for any & all dogs we have rescued in the past and whose owners may want to reach us can do so at suz@mountaindoglodge.com
Our dog care business is really taking off and we felt if we could not put the necessary time & effort into each & every rescue dog then we would stop. If it cannot be done to 100% then we won't do it at all - it is not fair to any of the dogs in our care, be it our boarders, daycare dogs, rescues, or our own dogs and we feel now that things are almost at that point where it would be too much.
We would like to thank all those who have helped us throughout the years and also to all the wonderful dog owners who have adopted from us.

It has been very quiet in rescue this fall AND winter. We have updated our site but we still have no dogs available. Once we do they will be added right away!
